Business Analyst

Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Business Analyst to work in the field of Fintech.

The customer is a leading player in the electronic payment systems market in Azerbaijan, with a network of over 2,500 terminals and more than 500 types of services. The company provides convenience and reliability for paying utility bills, mobile services, banking, and government services.

The project is the first large-scale e-wallet for cashless transactions in Azerbaijan's ecosystem, with over 5,500 terminals nationwide. It offers QR payments, online bill payments, and cashback, allowing transactions at 10,000+ points of sale without a bank card, as well as cash withdrawals and utility bill payments.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic business goals from senior management.
• Existing documentation from settlement, finance, compliance, and risk management departments (current processes, pain points, desired improvements).
• Initial architectural proposals and technology frameworks from the IT team.
• Organizing and conducting structured workshops, interviews, and regular meetings with stakeholders from settlements, finance, risk management, and compliance departments.
• Detailed analyzing of current business processes and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Close collaborating with IT architects and developers to ensure business requirements align with technical capabilities and strategic vision.
• Clear articulating of requirements using standardized templates and tools, creating comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
• Regular alignment of gathered requirements with business stakeholders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Conducting regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment and support.
• Communicating with stakeholders and senior management about progress, issues, and recommendations.
• Fostering a collaborative relationship, ensuring transparency, trust, and effective communication throughout the requirements gathering and validation process.
• Actively managing stakeholder expectations and constructively responding to feedback for refining and improving requirements.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Business Analyst in fintech, banking, or financial services for 5+ years.
• Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements specifically for core banking operations and back-office (settlements, finance, risk management, regulatory compliance).
• Experience in successfully leading cross-functional requirements gathering and analysis initiatives.
• Experience working closely with software developers and IT departments, verifying technical vision and architectural solutions.
• Strong knowledge of core banking operations, settlements, financial accounting, regulatory compliance processes, and risk management.
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation methods (interviews, workshops, process modeling).
• In-depth knowledge of business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML).
• Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly present complex business needs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Level of English - Pre-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CFA, FRM, or PMP.
