Senior Test Engineer (automation)

The project focuses on optimizing Interactive Response Technology (IRT) for clinical trials, managing randomization and trial supply processes. It aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in clinical research, providing customized solutions for global studies.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating product releases, with a specific focus on integration testing of eClinical systems and ensuring seamless communication between these systems. This includes testing integrations between RTSM, EDC and other eClinical platforms, as well as API-based interactions and data exchange.

This role involves automated testing, API and data validation, and performance testing to ensure that all integration processes meet industry and regulatory standards. The key focus will be on building a testing framework that’s easy to maintain in the future, while also increasing the coverage of automated tests.

You will collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Data Engineers, Senior Test Engineers, and Product Managers to ensure the accuracy and performance of system integrations across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration testing of eClinical systems such as RTSM, EDC, etc.
• Conduct API testing, including validation of XML/JSON formats and system communication.
• Maintain and improve the test automation framework.
• Develop effective product test plans and test cases.
• Ensure optimal coverage and traceability of product requirements and use cases.
• Promote sound design and best practices in product testing while maintaining practical and deadline-driven approaches.
• Plan, develop, and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases.
• Manage and track test plan execution, monitor and report defects and resolutions.
• Assist with production issue investigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in software testing, including automation.

• Strong experience in integration testing of eClinical systems (RTSM, EDC, etc.).

• 6+ years of experience in testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, JMeter, Postman, and Swagger.

• Proficiency in test automation using Playwright, TypeScript, or JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of API testing and validation, including working with XML/JSON formats.

• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS, web, or mobile applications.

• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of test automation pipelines.
